Thank you for visiting this website and your interest in the Earth Charter Day Academic Conference 2009.
Unfortunately, I have to inform you about the following:
The Earth Charter Day Academic Conference 2009 (ECDAC2009) is part of a broader initiative entitled Earth Charter Day 2009.
ECDAC2009 is one of twelve events that together constitute Earth Charter Day 2009.
The preparations for Earth Charter Day 2009, as has happened to a number of events, have been hit severely by the effects of the world-wide financial crisis.
As a result of this, the decision was taken to halt the preparations for Earth Charter Day 2009.
Even though I regret this decision, I respect and support it.
However, this decision also has serious consequences for ECDAC2009, because it significantly limits the availability of necessary means and networks.
Therefore, as General Chair for the Earth Charter Day Academic Conference 2009 I have no other option than to cancel this year's conference.
Thank you again for showing your interest in and support for the Earth Charter Academic Conference.
I would be more than happy to inform you about our future plans; just send me an email to show your interest and I will keep you informed. We will make sure to update this website as soon as plans for next year have materialised.
